USD/JPY Forecast: 156.50 Wall Holds Key as BoJ Looms

The latest USD/JPY forecast centers on the 156.13/50 resistance band, a level tested after the Fed's hawkish rate decision widened the yield gap in the dollar's favor. This zone has become the pivotal battleground for near-term direction.
Japan CPI data and the BoJ decision are the next catalysts. Markets expect a hike to 1.25%, but unless Governor Ueda signals a steeper tightening path, the yen may struggle to capitalize on the move, leaving USD/JPY forecasts tilted toward continuation.
Bearish RSI divergence, however, injects reversal risk into the outlook. A break below 155.45 would flip the near-term bias and open the door to a deeper corrective slide.
