Falling Yields Offer NASDAQ 100 a Cushion Amid Selloff

Treasury yields logged their steepest single-day decline since the 2023 banking crisis, a move strategists describe as a 'take-back trade' rather than recession panic. Lower yields typically support growth-heavy indices like the NASDAQ 100, since future earnings of tech and AI firms get discounted less aggressively.
Even so, the relief isn't uniform. With the broader equity market fracturing into winners and losers, NASDAQ 100 constituents tied directly to AI capital expenditure remain more exposed to sentiment swings than the yield backdrop alone would suggest.
