Iraq Oil Exports Near 3.4M Bpd, Closing In on Pre-War Levels

Iraq's oil exports averaged more than 3.4 million barrels per day through October, Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed Khudair confirmed, nearing the 3.3-3.5 million bpd range shipped before the Iran war disrupted Strait of Hormuz traffic. That represents a jump of roughly 750,000 bpd from September's average of 2.65 million bpd.

Of the October total, 250,000 bpd moved via the Iraq-Turkey pipeline, diversifying export routes away from maritime chokepoints under threat. The recovery in Iraqi supply is a key counterweight to bullish crude pricing, even as Brent trades near $109 and WTI tests $101, suggesting producers are adapting logistics faster than the conflict's headline risk would imply.
