Risk warning: CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

What Is FxPro?

FxPro is a forex and CFD broker offering access to multiple asset classes. The broker is founded in 2006 and based in London, UK. FxPro has been established as a well-known retail broker for last two decades in the industry. It serves over 2 million clients across 170+ countries. It has a strong brand visibility due to its McLaren Formula 1 sponsorship and more than 90 industry awards worldwide.

FxPro operates through four main regulatory entities, allowing it to serve clients based on their country of residence. However, leverage limits, investor compensation, and available products vary between entities.

FxPro describes its execution model as no-dealing-desk (NDD). The broker processes orders through its proprietary Quotix liquidity aggregation system. This system sources pricing from Tier-1 banks and uses servers co-located in London and Amsterdam. FxPro says this infrastructure supports average execution speeds of around 12–13 milliseconds.

The broker supports five ways to trade: MT4, MT5, cTrader, FxPro Edge (its proprietary WebTrader, rebuilt in 2024), and a dedicated mobile app. It provides access to 2,100+ CFD instruments across forex, shares, indices, metals, energies, futures, and cryptocurrencies. In April 2026, FxPro extended trading hours on more than 50 popular US stocks via MT5. It allows nearly 16 hours of daily access to traders.

For this review, BrokersProfile opened a Standard account on MT4 and a Raw+ account on MT5, both under the FCA (UK) entity. We funded both with $500 via debit card and conducted independent live testing over 21 days from June to July 2026. All data referenced came directly from that testing period using real capital; no demo data was used.

How We Reviewed FxPro

BrokersProfile maintains full editorial independence. Any affiliate relationship with FxPro does not influence our scores, findings, or conclusions.

We conducted this review over a 21-day live testing window from 15 June to 5 July 2026. We opened a Standard account on MT4 and a Raw+ account on MT5, both under FxPro UK Limited (FCA 509956), funded with $500 via Visa debit card. All data here was recorded from live, funded trading activity.

Spread Monitoring

We tracked FxPro’s EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, XAU/USD, and US30 across 21 trading days. Instead of relying on advertised minimums, we recorded the live bid-ask spread directly from the trading interface at regular intervals throughout Asian, London, and overlapping London–New York hours, covering both account types.

Execution Speed Testing

We tested execution through 280 real-money market orders on the Raw+ account, covering major forex pairs, Gold, and index CFDs. We tracked how quickly orders filled, whether trades experienced positive or negative slippage and by how much, and how often requotes occurred, including periods around major economic news releases.

Customer Support Mystery Shopping

We put FxPro’s support team through five practical questions covering account funding, Raw+ commissions, Islamic accounts, VPS access, and inactivity fees. The same questions were sent through live chat, email, and phone. It allows us to compare response speed, accuracy, professionalism, and whether the issue was resolved without escalation.

Regulatory Verification

We manually cross-checked FxPro's active licenses against the FCA, CySEC, FSCA, and SCB public registers in July 2026, confirming license status and enforcement history.

Our Testing Methodology

Testing Pillar

What We Actually Tested

1. Regulatory Checks

We verified FxPro’s regulatory entities directly against official registers, recording license status, registration details, verification dates, and any relevant enforcement history.

2. Real-World Spreads

Live spreads were tracked for 21 trading days across Asian, London, and London–New York sessions. We captured minimum, maximum, and average spreads from funded accounts rather than relying on advertised minimums.

3. Order Execution

280 live market orders were used to assess fill speed, slippage, and requotes. Testing covered major forex pairs, Gold, and index CFDs, including periods around major market-moving news.

4. True Trading Costs

We looked beyond the advertised spread, factoring in Raw+ commissions, overnight swaps, funding and withdrawal charges, and inactivity fees to assess the cost for both occasional and active traders.

5. Platform Experience

MT4, MT5, cTrader, and FxPro Edge were used hands-on for more than two weeks each. We focused on practical differences in charting, order functionality, automated trading support, and the consistency between desktop and mobile.

6. Support Testing

We tested FxPro support through live chat, email, and phone using five real-world scenarios covering commissions, funding, Islamic accounts, VPS access, and inactivity fees. Responses were judged on speed, accuracy, professionalism, and whether the issue was resolved without escalation.

What We Found During Our Testing

Spreads

Spread cost differs significantly between account types, consistent with FxPro's published specs. We recorded a 1.30 pip average on EUR/USD on Standard during London (range 1.1–1.6 pips). This was close to the advertised "from 1.2 pips" but above the ~0.9 pip industry average for commission-free accounts. On Raw+, we recorded a 0.20 pip average; combined with the $3.50-per-side commission. This produces an all-in cost of approximately $9.00 per standard lot.

We recorded a notable widening event on EUR/USD during the June 2026 US CPI release. Raw+ briefly reached 3.4 pips before normalizing within roughly 35 seconds. Standard touched 5.7 pips on the same event. Both results match normal news-event behavior and broadly align with other mid-tier brokers during similar volatility.

Execution

We placed 280 live market orders on the Raw+ account across forex majors, Gold, and the US30 index CFD.

Our recorded 79ms London session average is reasonable for the mid-tier CFD segment. It trails IC Markets (~28ms) and Pepperstone (~37ms), and runs slightly slower than Tickmill (~69ms) and ThinkMarkets (~74ms). FxPro’s advertised 12–13ms figure measures internal order time, not the full client-to-fill round trip captured in our testing. The near-even slippage split (6.1% vs 6.4%) confirms real NDD routing. The 1.1% requote rate was low, but some pure-ECN competitors recorded zero requotes during the same testing period.

Account Opening

Our FCA-entity registration took approximately 11 minutes. We provided personal and employment details. We completed FxPro’s suitability questionnaire and submitted a passport and utility bill for KYC verification. FxPro completed our verification within 6 hours, while our $500 card deposit appeared in MT5 within 7 minutes.

Withdrawals

Debit Card - $200: We requested the withdrawal at 11:05 UTC on Wednesday. FxPro processed it the same day, but the card provider took another 3 business days to settle the funds. The full process took just over 3 business days, with no withdrawal fee.

Skrill - $150: We submitted the request on Friday morning, and FxPro completed it within 6 hours. The funds arrived through the e-wallet route without any fee, making Skrill the quicker option in our test.

Resolved Raw+ commission query fully at first contact

Our VPS and Islamic account questions exposed the main support weakness. They couldn’t resolve either query directly through live chat. They escalated both queries through email, with replies arriving within 10–12 hours. FxPro resolved routine questions quickly, but specialist queries took longer to reach the appropriate team.

Our Honest Take at BrokersProfile

FxPro delivers on its core strengths: comprehensive regulatory coverage, multiple platform choices, and extensive instrument access, supported by trading infrastructure developed over nearly two decades. The FCA and CySEC combination remains one of the stronger profiles for retail traders outside the largest brokers. Our license checks also found no active enforcement actions against any FxPro entity.

Where FxPro is less convincing is cost, specifically on the Standard account. Our tested 1.30 pip EUR/USD average sits well above the broader industry benchmark of roughly 0.9 pips. It is expensive relative to Pepperstone Standard (~1.0 pip) or ThinkMarkets Standard (~0.42 pips). Raw+ narrows the gap as our tested 0.20 pip average plus $7 round-turn commission produces an all-in cost around $9.00 per lot. It remains competitive but not the cheapest, with IC Markets Raw at around $7.20 and Tickmill Raw at roughly $7.00.

FxPro's strength is its platform breadth. Few brokers at this scale offer MT4, MT5, cTrader, and a competitive proprietary WebTrader side by side. It gives traders a real reason to choose their platform by trading style. FxPro’s April 2026 trading-hours expansion for 50+ US stocks adds a useful feature that few competing brokers currently offer.

The 6-month inactivity fee trigger is one of the shorter windows in our 2026 series. Admirals applies its policy after 24 months, Tickmill after 12. Part-time traders should treat this as a real cost consideration.

Our Verdict: FxPro earns its BP Score™ of 82/100 on the strength of its regulatory depth, five-platform architecture, broad 2,100+ instrument library, and a Raw+ account that delivers competitive execution costs. It is a well-rounded broker best suited to intermediate and advanced traders who value platform choice and regulatory assurance over the absolute lowest possible spread. Cost-focused scalpers looking for the lowest raw pricing may find cheaper ECN specialists, while beginners may prefer the simpler, spread-inclusive Standard account.

Is FxPro Safe? – Regulation & Safety

FxPro holds active regulatory licenses in four jurisdictions, including Tier-1 regulators FCA and CySEC. This gives the broker a strong regulatory foundation. Although the protections available to clients vary depending on the entity serving their account.

Regulatory Licenses – Verified July 2026

In July 2026, we checked each FxPro license against the relevant official public register. Every license was active, and we found no material enforcement actions against any FxPro entity.

FCA regulation (509956) is the strongest protection tier for FxPro clients. It covers UK residents under the FSCS for up to £85,000 in insolvency. CySEC-regulated EU clients get ICF coverage up to €20,000. Clients under the FSCA or SCB entities do not receive a statutory compensation scheme comparable to the FSCS or ICF.

Security Practices

Client Fund Segregation

FxPro keeps client funds segregated at major banks, including Barclays Bank PLC, Julius Baer, and Royal Bank of Scotland, fully separate from operating capital. FxPro spreads client funds across multiple partners and monitors the related credit risk continuously. FxPro keeps client funds segregated across its regulated entities, although the specific legal protections differ by jurisdiction.

Negative Balance Protection

FxPro applies negative balance protection to retail clients, so under normal circumstances a client can't lose more than deposited funds. This is standard for FCA- and CySEC-regulated clients and generally also applies to clients under the Bahamas and South African entities, although those protections come with less regulatory backing.

Risk Management Tools

FxPro supports stop-loss, take-profit, and trailing stops across MT4, MT5, cTrader, and FxPro Edge. Edge includes an integrated economic calendar and Trading Central analysis built into the interface. It is a built-in reference point for volatility risk without a separate tool. FxPro doesn't offer the advanced analytics dashboards found on some competing platforms.

We recorded an average 1.30-pip EUR/USD spread on FxPro’s Standard account. That makes its pricing on the wider side for a commission-free account. Tickmill Raw and Pepperstone Razor delivered tighter headline spreads in our testing, although both add a separate commission. So, although the accounts aren't directly comparable, FxPro's Standard account isn't a standout on spread cost alone.

The Raw+ account averaged 0.20 pips on EUR/USD. It is more competitive, but still wider than Tickmill Raw at 0.10 pips and Pepperstone Razor at 0.09 pips.

Once commission is added, FxPro's all-in cost of approximately $9.00 per standard lot sits above Tickmill (~$7.00) and Pepperstone (~$7.90) – reasonable, but it doesn't lead the market for high-frequency traders.

Real Cost of a Trade – Two Trader Profiles

Profile A – Beginner Trader, EUR/USD, Standard Account, 1 Standard Lot:

Average spread (London session): 1.30 pips | Commission: $0.00 | Total cost per lot: approx. $13.00 | Overnight swap (1 night, long): approx. -$5.80 (variable).

At roughly $13.00 per standard lot, the Standard account is on the higher end of what we've recorded for commission-free accounts in the FCA-regulated segment. If you only place a few trades each month, the simpler Standard account may justify the extra cost. For regular traders, Raw+ should work out cheaper.

Profile B – Active Day Trader, EUR/USD, Raw+ Account, 1 Standard Lot:

Average spread: 0.20 pips | Commission (round-turn): $7.00 | Total cost per lot: approx. $9.00 | Overnight swap (1 night, long): approx. -$5.80 (variable).

At around $9.00 per standard lot, Raw+ sits in the middle of the pack on trading costs. A trader placing 15 lots a day (roughly 300/month) would pay approximately $2,700/month in commission at FxPro, versus roughly $2,100/month at Tickmill Raw and $2,370/month at Pepperstone Razor. High-frequency scalpers should consider this in, although some traders may consider FxPro’s broader platform choice worth the extra cost.

FxPro vs. Other Brokers

FxPro lands in the middle tier of regulated multi-asset CFD brokers. It doesn't match pure ECN specialists on speed or cost. However, it competes strongly on platform choice and market coverage. The table below puts FxPro’s tested Raw+ account alongside four brokers from the same 2026 review series.

Where FxPro wins: Platform choice is FxPro’s biggest advantage. It combines its own WebTrader, FxPro Edge, with MT4, MT5, and cTrader. It has more options for traders to compare with other brokers. Additionally, the broker offers 2,100+ CFDs, including futures, plus 1,700+ share CFDs. FxPro's four-entity regulatory footprint, including two Tier-1 authorities, is also broader than Pepperstone's or IC Markets'.

Where FxPro trails: FxPro doesn't lead on cost or execution speed. Tickmill Raw delivered both a tighter spread (0.10 vs. 0.20 pips) and lower commission ($6.00 vs. $7.00 round-turn), while IC Markets and Pepperstone also beat FxPro on execution speed in our testing. Traders who prefer the lowest per-lot cost or fastest raw fill will generally find a better fit at Tickmill, Pepperstone, or IC Markets. FxPro makes more sense for traders who value platform flexibility, broad market access, and strong regulation over saving every fraction of a pip on trading costs.

FxPro Trading Platforms

FxPro supports five ways to access the market: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, FxPro Edge (its proprietary WebTrader, rebuilt in 2024), and a dedicated mobile app. It offers one of the widest product ranges among mid-tier CFD brokers. Only a few FCA-regulated brokers offer cTrader alongside the full MetaTrader suite.

MetaTrader 4 (MT4)

MT4 is available on Standard and Raw+ accounts. The broker also offers Standard MT4 Instant account with fixed spreads on seven major currency pairs, although traders may experience requotes. It supports the full MQL4 environment with no EA restrictions. Fx Pro is popular among traders with existing MQL4 libraries. Traders should know that Stock/ETF CFDs aren't available on MT4.

MetaTrader 5 (MT5)

MT5 offers 21 timeframes versus 9 on MT4, a built-in economic calendar, depth-of-market display, and the full stock/ETF CFD range. It also includes the extended-hours US stock trading from April 2026. We used this platform for our Raw+ live testing. Its multi-threaded strategy tester gives EA developers a clear advantage over MT4’s single-threaded tester.

cTrader

cTrader runs entirely on raw, commission-based pricing at FxPro as it doesn’t offer Standard-style option here. Commission is $3.50 per side on forex and metals, zero on indices, energies, and crypto. cTrader doesn't support stocks or ETFs. This is straightforward for traders who favor its charting depth and cBot environment, transparent-pricing. New users should consider the commission into their trading costs from the start.

FxPro Edge (Proprietary WebTrader)

FxPro Edge is the broker's browser-based proprietary platform. It was rebuilt in 2024: 50+ built-in indicators, seven chart types, 15 timeframes, and Trading Central analysis-built in. It doesn’t need any separate subscription, and also requires no download. The trade-off: it runs exclusively on Standard-account pricing, so users pay the wider spread. Edge is easier for beginners to navigate, but traders focused on keeping costs low may find better options elsewhere.

FxPro Account Types

FxPro gives traders four main live accounts: Standard, Standard MT4 Instant, Raw+, and Elite. It also offers a dedicated cTrader account, a demo account, and swap-free Islamic trading options across the account range.

FxPro Standard Account

FxPro's commission-free, all-inclusive-spread offering. Our test recorded a 1.30 pip average on EUR/USD during London. It was close to "from 1.2 pips" but above the broader benchmark for equivalent accounts. The broker offers MT4 and MT5 support with 0.01 micro-lot trading. A straightforward option for occasional traders who prefer simplicity over the lowest possible costs.

FxPro Standard MT4 Instant

It is a MT4-only account with fixed spreads on seven major currency pairs. It gives traders a known spread upfront. However, if market moves fast, it can trigger requotes, which makes it more suitable for those who prefer predictable pricing.

FxPro Raw+ Account

FxPro's core ECN-style offering: spreads from 0.0 pips plus a flat $3.50-per-side ($7.00 round-turn) commission on forex and metals, zero separate commission on indices, energies, and futures. Our test produced a 0.20 pip EUR/USD average, an all-in cost of roughly $9.00 per lot. Raw+ is available on MT4/MT5. It is a most balanced option for traders wanting raw pricing without cTrader or the $30,000 Elite threshold.

FxPro cTrader Account

It is a cTrader-only account with raw, commission-based pricing. It copies Raw+ but doesn’t include stock and ETF CFDs. Forex and metals cost $3.50 per side, while indices, energies, and crypto carry no commission. FxPro offers no commission-free Standard equivalent on cTrader. Therefore, traders should consider the commission from the start.

FxPro Elite Account

FxPro's premium tier requires a $30,000 minimum deposit. It offers Raw+ pricing with added VIP benefits. Elite clients get the same spread and commission structure. Additionally, it offers volume-based rebates starting at $1.50 per lot and bonuses such as a dedicated account manager. It is a professional or high-net-worth product. A live-pricing demo account lets traders test FxPro’s platforms and trading conditions before putting real money on the line.

FxPro Markets & Instruments

FxPro provides access to more than 2,100 tradable CFD instruments across six asset classes. It offers one of the wider ranges among mid-tier multi-asset brokers. It significantly includes futures CFDs, a category several competitors don't offer.

With 1,700+ share CFDs, FxPro offers one of the deepest equity CFD selections we've tested in 2026. The broker has also continued adding new names, including Cerebras, a 2026 tech IPO focused on AI chips.

The April 2026 extension of trading hours to 50+ popular US stocks on MT5 makes Fx Pro different in the trading industry. That gives traders nearly 16 hours of daily access to liquid equities. FxPro also offers futures CFDs, a quite uncommon feature among retail CFD brokers that gives traders access to futures-linked markets.

Cryptocurrency CFD availability is more limited and varies by entity due to differing rules across jurisdictions. EU clients under CySEC face tighter restrictions. Traders should verify current crypto availability for their entity before opening an account.

FxPro's 79ms EUR/USD average during the London session places it in the middle of the mid-tier CFD pack. It is slower than Tickmill (69ms) and ThinkMarkets (74ms), but faster than Admirals (82ms), and comfortably behind pure-ECN specialists like IC Markets (28ms) and Pepperstone (37ms). A sub-100ms average won't be a meaningful differentiator for most retail and swing traders. Latency-sensitive scalpers should consider the gap into a broker decision.

Slippage occurred on 12.5% of all orders, with a near-balanced 6.1% positive and 6.4% negative split. It is a healthy sign of market-based execution. We recorded three requotes (1.1%) across the full sample, all during the June CPI release window. It is a small but real deviation from the zero-requote results we've documented at some ECN-focused competitors during comparable events.

Opening an Account with FxPro – Step-by-Step

You can open an FxPro account entirely online with a straightforward application process. Our test application took around 10–12 minutes that doesn’t include the time needed for document verification.

Registration Comes First

We started by entering basic contact details on FxPro’s website and confirming the email address. FxPro then assigned the appropriate regulatory entity based on the country of residence. UK applicants fall under the FCA entity, EU clients under CySEC, South African clients under FSCA, and most international applicants under the Bahamas-based SCB entity.

Expect A Short Suitability Check

The application asks for standard personal and financial details, including address, employment, and income information. FxPro also checks your trading experience and knowledge through a suitability questionnaire, particularly for CFD trading.

Verification Requires Two Documents

Applicants need to provide a government-issued photo ID and recent proof of address. In our case, the FCA-entity verification finished within 6 hours, making the KYC stage relatively quick.

Pick The Account That Fits Your Trading

Once verified, traders can choose between Standard, Standard MT4 Instant, Raw+, or cTrader, depending on the platform and pricing model they want. Base-currency choices also vary by regulatory entity.

Fund The Account and Trade

FxPro does not impose a strict minimum deposit on its Standard, Raw+, or cTrader accounts. We would treat $100 as a practical starting point. FxPro recommends $1,000 for a more comfortable trading balance. Funding options include cards, bank transfers, PayPal, Skrill, and Neteller. Traders can move it into their chosen trading account and start trading once the money reaches the FxPro Wallet.

FxPro Deposit & Withdrawal

FxPro charges no deposit or withdrawal fees on its side, across all supported payment methods. Third-party processors may apply their own charges particularly for card or crypto-adjacent transactions. Traders should verify processor-side fees before choosing a funding method.

Our Live Withdrawal Test

Our Skrill withdrawal of $150 processed within roughly 6 hours end-to-end, fee-free. We consider it faster of our two tests. FxPro processed our $200 debit card withdrawal the same day, but the funds took just over 3 business days to reach final settlement. FxPro accepts PayPal for both deposits and withdrawals.

Inactivity Fee

FxPro charges a one-time $15 inactivity fee after 6 months without trading, followed by a $5 monthly fee for continued inactivity. This 6-month trigger is shorter than peers like Admirals (24 months) — a real consideration for seasonal traders.

Supported Base Currencies

FxPro supports multiple base currencies including USD, EUR, and GBP, with additional regional options by entity. Traders whose local currency isn't supported should consider this conversion costs. FxPro applies the liquidity-provider rate plus a mark-up.

FxPro Leverage

FxPro's maximum leverage depends on the regulatory entity a client is registered under. The broker offers a limited retail leverage at 1:30 on forex majors under FCA and CySEC rules. Clients under less restrictive international entities can access higher leverage.

The up-to-1:2000 leverage under FxPro's SCB (Bahamas) entity is among the higher figures in our 2026 series. Though it trades off against no formal compensation scheme. Traders who want leverage above 1:30 can access this at FxPro. However, the absence of FSCS or ICF-equivalent coverage is a risk to consider against the benefit.

Australian traders should also note: FxPro is not ASIC-regulated. Australian clients onboard through FxPro UK Limited under FCA rules. It doesn’t hold AFCA dispute-resolution access or ASIC-specific protections. Should consider this fact against an ASIC-regulated alternative.

FxPro Customer Support

FxPro offers support via live chat, email, phone, and a "request a call" option, available 24/5 during market hours. It doesn’t offer weekend support coverage. We consider it a relevant limitation for Asia-Pacific and Middle East traders active on weekends.

Our average live chat response across the five queries was 4 minutes 5 seconds. We found it slower than Tickmill (3 min 24 sec) but in line with the mid-tier average. The clearest weakness came when specialist questions about VPS setup and Islamic accounts required email escalation.

We reached phone support within five rings, and the agent answered our Raw+ commission question correctly on the first call.

FxPro Education & Research

FxPro’s education hub covers the essentials, including forex basics, technical and fundamental analysis, trading psychology, and a glossary that can help newer traders get started. The Client Area includes an FX calculator, VPS guides, market news, and an economic/earnings calendar.

Trading Central Integration

One of FxPro's clearer research advantages is the built-in Trading Central integration on FxPro Edge. It gives access to third-party technical and fundamental analysis without a separate subscription. We see this as a useful perk, especially since some competitors limit it to higher-tier accounts or charge an additional fee.

Webinars and Video Content

FxPro produces regular webinars and video content covering platform tutorials and market analysis. The depth is adequate for beginners and intermediate traders. However, it doesn't reach the scale of dedicated multi-course trading academies at some larger competitors.

FxPro Mobile Trading

FxPro supports mobile trading via MT4 and MT5 apps, a mobile-optimized cTrader, and the FxPro app tied to FxPro Edge. Order placement was consistent between desktop and mobile in our testing, with no latency penalty on MT5 mobile versus desktop.

The FxPro app (Standard-account pricing) offers the cleanest mobile interface, with straightforward navigation and integrated market news. However, its educational offering falls short of the more extensive, multi-course academies available from some larger competitors.

FxPro Overnight Funding / Swap Rates

FxPro applies an overnight swap fee when you keep a position open past the daily rollover. Traders should also expect a triple swap midweek to account for weekend financing. FxPro sets these rates by instrument and can adjust them as market financing conditions change.

FxPro’s EUR/USD swap cost is slightly higher for long positions than most of the peers we compared. The difference matters mainly for traders who hold positions for several days or longer.

Gold swap rates are consistent with the mid-market average. Traders holding GBP/JPY or XAU/USD overnight across multiple sessions should check current in-platform rates first, as some cross pairs run higher than the major-pair figures.

Traders who want to avoid overnight financing entirely can request a swap-free Islamic account, available across all FxPro account types. It removes swap charges in exchange for FxPro's standard swap-free terms (which may include an administrative fee on some instruments held past a set number of days).

FxPro VPS Hosting & Algorithmic Trading

VPS Hosting

FxPro provides VPS hosting to reduce latency for automated strategies. It allows EA and cBot users run continuously without a personal computer staying online. In our support testing, the VPS setup query required escalation outside live chat to email. This suggests that the process works, but it isn't among the most efficient self-service experiences we've tested.

EA and cBot Compatibility

FxPro fully supports MQL4 and MQL5 on MT4/MT5, with no restrictions on standard EA strategy types. cTrader users get the cAlgo environment and cBot strategies. It is a real choice between MetaTrader's MQL ecosystem and cTrader's C#-based alternative. FxPro’s Quotix liquidity aggregator supports algorithmic order flow. It does not apply specific restrictions on scalping or high-frequency trading strategies.

Not Suitable For

  • Traders seeking the absolute lowest spread as FxPro's tested 0.20 pip Raw+ average and $9.00 all-in cost run above Tickmill Raw (~$7.00) and Pepperstone Razor (~$7.90)
  • Standard account traders with meaningful trading frequency as the 1.30 pip average is above the norm for commission-free accounts
  • Traders who need weekend support as FxPro operates 24/5 during market hours only
  • Australian traders wanting ASIC regulation and AFCA access, as FxPro onboards them under its FCA (UK) entity
  • Traders wanting the fastest raw execution as our tested 79ms average trails IC Markets (~28ms) and Pepperstone (~37ms)
  • Part-time traders who want to avoid inactivity fees, as FxPro starts charging after just 6 months without trading.
  • Traders seeking the broadest crypto CFD exposure, as availability varies and is more restricted than at some competitors
  • Traders starting with $200–500 or less who prioritize low costs and may find better-value Standard accounts elsewhere.

Choose FxPro If… / Don't Choose If…

Choose FxPro If:

  • You want deep, established regulatory coverage, including FCA and CySEC, backed by nearly two decades of operation since 2006
  • You value platform choice – few brokers this size offer MT4, MT5, cTrader, and a competitive proprietary WebTrader (FxPro Edge)
  • You are an active MT4/MT5 or cTrader trader wanting raw pricing without committing to a $30,000 Elite deposit
  • You actively trade US stocks and value extended market access, with FxPro offering nearly 16 hours of daily trading on 50+ US stock CFDs through MT5 since April 2026.
  • You want a broker accepting PayPal for deposits and withdrawals, rare among regulated CFD brokers
  • You want built-in fundamental analysis as Trading Central on FxPro Edge provides commentary without a separate subscription
  • You're comfortable trading under an international entity for higher leverage, since FxPro's SCB (Bahamas) entity offers up to 1:2000

Don't Choose FxPro If:

  • You are a cost-focused scalper chasing the tightest raw spreads, as Tickmill Raw and Pepperstone Razor tested tighter
  • You're opening a Standard account as an infrequent trader without comparing it against competitors' commission-free accounts
  • You are an Australian trader who specifically wants ASIC regulation and AFCA access
  • You want the fastest raw execution speed, since FxPro's tested 79ms average trails several pure-ECN competitors
  • You want a longer inactivity grace period, since FxPro's 6-month trigger is shorter than some peers' 12–24 months

Final Verdict

FxPro has built a strong name in the CFD market over the years, and our testing shows why. The broker offers broad regulatory coverage, several trading platforms, and more than 2,100 instruments, including futures CFDs and extended-hours US stock trading. Our live orders also confirmed that FxPro uses an NDD-style execution setup through its liquidity infrastructure.

The main trade-off comes down to cost. We recorded a 1.30-pip average EUR/USD spread on the Standard account, which puts it on the expensive side for commission-free trading. Raw+ improves the pricing, but its roughly $9.00 all-in cost per lot still trails cheaper ECN-focused brokers such as Tickmill and Pepperstone. Our 79ms average execution time was respectable, but several competitors delivered faster results. Traders should also keep FxPro’s 6-month inactivity fee trigger in mind, while Australian clients face additional entity-specific considerations.

Overall, FxPro makes the most sense for intermediate and experienced traders who value regulation, platform choice, and market variety more than the absolute lowest trading costs. MT4, MT5, and cTrader give traders plenty of flexibility, while FCA and CySEC oversight add confidence for eligible clients. With these strengths and trade-offs in mind, we give FxPro a BP Score™ of 82/100.
